PRODUCTION & EDITORIAL COORDINATOR
Eurovision Backstage Diaries 2026
Working on the Eurovision Song Contest was one of those projects that felt surreal in the best possible way.
Being part of an official behind-the-scenes format for one of the world’s biggest live entertainment productions was an experience I’m incredibly proud of. It was fast-paced, collaborative, occasionally chaotic, and honestly just a lot of fun. As part of a six-person team, I worked on the Eurovision Backstage Diaries, an official daily behind-the-scenes format commissioned by ORF and released throughout Eurovision week 2026.
Across seven episodes, we gave audiences a closer look behind the scenes of the contest: from artist interviews and delegation stories to the atmosphere that usually stays hidden behind the broadcast.

My Role
My role combined production coordination, editorial preparation and occasional on-camera work.
A big part of my work involved coordinating interviews with participating delegations, primarily arranging conversations with artist representatives in order to secure interviews with the performers. This required a lot of communication, flexibility and quick decision-making, especially in an environment where schedules changed constantly. Alongside the coordination side, I was also responsible for editorial research and interview preparation.
For most interviews, I researched the artists, current developments and relevant talking points, and prepared question ideas in advance. These served as the basis for the final interviews, including conversations hosted by Marcel, where we adapted questions together depending on the day’s context. I also stepped in front of the camera myself for selected segments as interviewer and co-host.
What made this project special
The Eurovision Song Contest operates at an entirely different scale. Working in that environment meant balancing editorial quality with speed, managing communication across multiple stakeholders and adapting quickly when plans changed.
At the same time, the project was incredibly collaborative. With a small team and daily publishing deadlines, everyone had to stay flexible, proactive and solution-oriented.
Seeing seven episodes go live in real time while the event was unfolding made the experience especially rewarding.
